The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), drawn from the Millennium Declaration, are a groundbreaking international development agenda for the 21st century to which all nations are committed. The MDGs outline major development priorities to be achieved by 2015. Numerical targets are set for each goal and are to be monitored through 48 indicators.
