Children living in poverty. More than a third of Neapl's 12.6 million children the foundation for tomorrows parents and leaders live below the national poverty line. THis is not all. Measured by the factors that constitutes a child's wellbeing, an even large proportion of Nepal's children suffer from severe malnutrition.
This study of child poverty and disparities in Nepal is an attempt to systematically identify the poverty and disparities that children experience and the shortfalls in outcomes. The study follows UNICEF'S Global methodologies by focusing on the poverty and disadvantage faced by families with children and looks in detail at how public policies and resources could more effectively reduce child deprivation.
