A Case Study on the Joint Relief Scheme, a Life Micro-Insurance Scheme Promoted by the Madhyamanchal Grameen Bikas Bank in Nepal
PDF File Size: 538 KB | Download
The main purpose of this case study is to document experiences in micro-insurance. The Centre for Micro Finance (CMF), in collaboration with ILO/STEP1, has documented two cases in Nepal.
This case study on a life micro-insurance scheme is one of them. This case-study has been conducted in 2001, as part of a series of case-studies on micro-insurance in life, health and livestock published by the ILO/STEP programme in Nepal. This version is updated in December 2003 in order to document the expansion of the Joint Relief Scheme and the benefits received by the members of scheme over the years.
