URL-http://apps.who.int/iris/ The writer joined the North Sector of the Central Zone of Nepal Malaria Eradication Organization on May 1959 as WHO Entomologist, with his duty station at Kathmandu. This report deals with entomological activities in the Sector during that period. The main objectives of the assignment were to co-operate with the WHO Malariologist in assisting the Government to plan and carry out epidemiological surveys and entomological investigations in unsprayed and sprayed areas. The duties of the writer involved the training of various categories of national staff in the Entomology Section. During the assignment he was to work with two national counterparts, Mr Surya Man Shrestha, Entomologist of Sector A.
