PORTRAIT OF JEAN L. RIPERT, DIRECTOR- GENERAL FOR DEVELOPMENT AND INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION
Abstract:
Portrait of Mr. Jean L. RIPERT, Director- General for development and International Economic Co-operation. Prior to this, he held the post of Under-Secretary General for Economic and Social Affairs. Before joining the United Nations Secretariat, Mr. Ripert was the commissioner for Economic Planning of France. He has also served, and Deputy Head of the Commission for Economic Planning. From 1966 to 1977, he was a member of the UN Committee for Development Planning. He is a graduate of the Institute National Agronomique.
