[Source URL]- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y3049tDiU4 [Abstract] - In 2014 (2070) heavy rainfall during the monsoon season resulted in a massive landslide in Saunepani. The landslide caused massive destruction to the farm of local resident Bir Bahadur KC. Caused a concern for the local community as it threatened their land and the irrigation canal. Fortunately, the village resides within the panchase protection forest and project site of the Ecosystem based Adaptation (EbA) project supported by the United Nations Development Proramme. Through the project user of the masinechaur community forest received low-cost soil conservation training. In such training, the participants were provided with various ideas on reducing soil erosion. After the EbA intervention, the results were visible within a year - the soil erosion has stopped.
