Letter Dated 31 March 2006 from the Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations Addressed to the Secretary-General
Abstract:
I am writing with reference to my letter dated 21 November 2005 addressed to the then Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs, Nobuyasu Abe, regarding the relocation of the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific to Kathmandu, requesting the Secretariat to send a comprehensive draft of the host country agreement. In that letter, I mentioned that His Majesty’s Government of Nepal has been demonstrating flexibility and has shown its eagerness to sign the host country agreement by accommodating the concerns of the Secretariat on the issue of privileges and immunities and the additional costs, including security costs. #UNGA #2006
