Nepal: Reports of Bandhs/Blockades (1 September to 31 October 2008)
Abstract:
The density of events – indicated by shading on the map – represents the total number of bandhs / blockades that have been observed, as reported to OCHA and the UN Department of Safety and Security. These include transportation blockades, and closures of customs offices, markets and businesses. The groups calling for bandhs / blockades are CPN/Affiliated groups, Limbuwan, Local communities, Madhesi People's Right Forum, Terai Madhesi Democratic Party, Seven Party Alliance and Students.
