9th Steering Committee Meeting: NRRC Flagship Update (January–June 2013)
Abstract:
Highlights: 1. Needs to be more focussed coordination among Gov Ministries and Development Partners 2. Lack of targeted priorities and fund raising strategy for generating resource 3. Limited capacity of the GoN as well as lack of commitment of some Gov Ministries and partners on Flagship priorities/activities. 4. Lack of clear road map of the NRRC and FS 5 to support the proposed new DRM divisions and linkages with the NDMA. 5. Limited monitoring and follow-up on the dissemination and implementation of different tools and standards. 6. Lack of open access to risk, hazard, exposure and vulnerability data. 7. Lack of a regulatory agency for flood plain zoning/management
