UNDAF 2013- 2017: Guidelines for Developing Detailed Profiles for Country Analysis for Nepal
Abstract:
The UNDAF technical working group received 191 preliminary profiles of vulnerable groups in Nepal. Several groups were submitted more than once, and some profiles were a sub-group of a bigger group (e.g. Raute as a sub-group of endangered and highly marginalized indigenous people). Some profiles did not respond to the criteria set out in the guidelines for preparing the preliminary profiles and did not identify underlying causes for vulnerability or did not have data sources. The technical working group collapsed the vast majority of these preliminary profiles into 20 client groups. The proposed client groups are in Annex 1 to this note. Annex 2 to this note records which preliminary profiles were collapsed into which proposed client group, the size of each group, the proposed lead agency. It also gives a sense of some of the root causes for the vulnerability of client groups. These guidelines set out both the proposed process for preparing the full profiles, as well as a proposed outline for each profile. #Country Analysis #UNDAFdoc
