Rapid Health Assessment Guidelines: Epidemiology & Disease Control Division
Abstract:
Highlights: 1.An emergency is an exceptional situation exceeding the response capacity of the affected community 2.For field assessment purposes it can be defined as any situation causing more than one persondead, above 10 injured or significant displacement caused by any unexpected event 3.Rapid health assessments are not expected following road traffic accidents 4.Unusual disease incidents need to be reported in the separate post-emergency syndromic surveillance format
