Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women
Abstract:
The Committee appreciates that the State party submitted its combined fourth and fifth periodic reports. It also appreciates the State party’s written replies to the list of issues and questions raised by the pre-session working group of the Committee. It welcomes the oral presentation of the delegation and the further clarifications provided during the dialogue. However the Committee regrets that the delegation did not provide responses to some questions posed orally by the Committee. The Committee notes the State party delegation which was headed by Mr Shankar Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development, and included representatives from the Ministries of Home Affairs, External Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Social Justice and Empowerment, and Human Resource Development. #Convention #DiscriminationAgainstWomen #WomenRights #GenderEquality
