Child And Maternal Nutrition
Abstract:
Malnutrition is a serious obstacle to the survival, growth and development of children in Nepal. Even mildly or moderately malnourished children are more likely to die from common childhood diseases than those that are adequately nourished. In addition, malnutrition is closely associated with impaired overall child development. In Nepal, the most common forms of malnutrition are protein energy malnutrition, iodine deficiency disorders, and deficiencies of iron and vitamin A. Each form has its own impact on the human body and, in combination, they can have a severe cumulative effect. #HEALTH #CHILDHEALTH #PUBLICHEALTH
