News Letter - Community Engagement In Humanitarian Action : March 2015 Issue (Nepal Earthquake In Focus)
Abstract:
It provides technical and financial support to ensure a wide variety of communication channels are used and meet international standards. The project seeks to fill an information vacuum for affected communities and quantify community feedback at senior leadership levels to ensure that decisionmaking and advocacy are grounded on field based realities. The QUAKEHELPDESK, created through a collaboration of Accountability Lab and Local Interventions Group connects citizens to aid service providers and ensures affected people have a voice in relief and rebuilding efforts. With more than 100 volunteers and now partnering with the Nepal Scouts, their range expands to the 14 most affected districts identified by the Government of Nepal.
