Better Prepared And Ready To Help: Food Security Cluster Meeting (3-6 May 2011)
Abstract:
Highlights: 1. Assess the effectiveness of WFP’s Contingency Planning in contributing towards emergency preparedness and response at the field level. 2. Learn from achievements and shortfalls. 3. Improve performance and outcome. 4. Establish common understanding of potential risks and their impact on WFP’s operational capability and its operating environment. 5. Ensure that a minimum level of preparedness is in place for all units of the CO and SOs. 6. Identify emergency readiness actions for specific highly likely risk. 7. Guide COs in their initial emergency response.
