Country Programme Action Plan 2008-2010 Between The Government of Nepal and The United Nations Population Fund
Abstract:
In mutual agreement to the content of this Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP) document and their responsibilities in the implementation of the country programme, the Government of Nepal (GoN) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) 1. Furthering their mutual agreement and cooperation for the realization of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW, 1979); the World Conference on Human Rights (1993); the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD-PoA, 1994); the fourth International Conference on Women (1995); the Millennium Declaration (2000) and Millennium Development Goals; UN Security Council resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325, 2000); the UN General Assembly Special Session on HIV/AIDS (2001); the World Summit Outcome (2005); the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD, 2002); General Assembly resolution 59/250 on the triennial comprehensive policy review (TCPR) of operational activities of the United Nations, and the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness (2005); to which the Government of Nepal and UNFPA are committed; 2. Building upon the experience gained and progress made during the implementation of the previous programmes of cooperation, including the Fifth Country Programme of Cooperation between the Government of Nepal and UNFPA; 3. Entering into a new period of cooperation based on the UNFPA Country Programme Document (CPD) for 2008-2010; 4. Declaring that these responsibilities will be fulfilled in a spirit of friendly cooperation between the Government of Nepal and UNFPA #GoN #UNFPA #CEDAW #CPD #TCPR #WSSD #GENDEREMPOWERMENT #WOMENEMPOWERMENT #GENDERDEVELOPMENT #WOMENDEVELOPMENT #2008
