Highlights: 1. Two rounds of CPN-Maoist-SPA talks take place; public optimism about the peace process remains generally high experts for UN's peace keeping mission arrive 2. Continuing ceasefire allows tens of thousand of Nepalist travel home during the annual festival season 3. New Nepal representative for OHCHR appointed 4. CPN-Maoist makes increasing demands for 'coordination' with I/NGOs programmes 5. Malarial outbreak in Mid West 6. Drought leads to sharp decline in summer crops output 7.
