Final Project Evaluation - The Dhaulagiri Irrigation Development Project - Main Report (May 1996)
Abstract:
DIDP started as a typical single-sector project which has grown gradually resulting finally in a multi-sectoral project by adding other irrigation-related components. This way of implementation is much preferable to an integrated approach. Which often leads to failure as it too ambitious. Despite this overall positive appraisal, in the case of DIDP, Women related activities and linkages to other agricultural programmes to provide agricultural inputs ,market & credit facilities and extension services should have been given more weight as from the onset of the project. #IrrigtionDevelopmentProject #RuralDevelopment #EnvironmentalDevelopment #FoodSecurity
