Critical Food AID and Medical Care to Dhrought Victims of Jeema VDC, Mugu
Abstract:
WFP field monitors report--high prevalence of illnesses among families in the Mugu and Humla Health services almost inexistent, priority being pregnancy services. ANM not sanctioned even in Illaka HP (Mugu) WFP's role in distributing food aid to drought-affected communities is clearly essential in order to save lives. Combining WFP's food aid with UNFPA RH and preventative care services, would able to not only reduce deaths among the poorest in Nepal, but greatly improve the quality of their lives. WFP requested UNFPA to conduct mobile RH clinics during planned WFP food distributions. #FoodAid #MedicalCare #WFP #UNFPA
