Koshi Flood Situation Report, 26 February 2009
Abstract:
This situation report is based on information received from UN Agencies and humanitarian partners, government sources, and OCHA staff. The Koshi Victim Struggle Committee (KVSC) continues its protest program one week on. The strikes have disrupted relief operations and the Government of Nepal’s return program Following the Government of Nepal’s (GoN) recent Detailed Damage Assessment/verification process, approximately 42,807 Nepalis (7,572HH) are recorded as being affected by flooding in the Saptari and Sunsari Districts in August 2008, in addition to an estimated 11,000 Indian nationals (2,328HH). #FLOODS #NEPALFLOODS2009
