Strengthening of Health Services in Nepal - Assignment Report, WHO Project: NEP SHS 001 (Nepal 0021)
Abstract:
Reference: Tewari, T. R. (1975). Strengthening of Health Services in Nepal - Assignment Report, WHO Project: NEP SHS 001 (Nepal 0021), WHO. URL-http://apps.who.int/iris/ While the Health Planning Unit in the Ministry of Health has become operational, and in doing so,has developed working procedures which bring the Ministry and the Department of Health closer together in developmental activity, it functions under the handicaps of being still on ad hoc basis and not having the full complement of staff. Expeditious decisions and action on these matters should facilitate the early development of its full potential. The Bara and Kaski pilot projects have yielded valuable data on the operational, management, supervisory and co-ordination aspects of an integrated health service at the periphery. These have helped in accumulating good experience in studying the delivery of health services. The focus currently is on developing an optimal replicable pattern and on concentrating on this specific objective. #HEALTHSERVICE #HEALTHCARE #PUBLICHEALTH
