Veterinary Public Health in Nepal - Assignment Report (WHO Project ICP VPH 001)
Abstract:
Reference: Abdussalam, M. (1977). Veterinary Public Health in Nepal - Assignment Report (WHO Project ICP VPH 001), WHO. URL-http://apps.who.int/iris/ The purpose of the visit was to review the national veterinary public health situation especially in relation to the development of the regional programme in this field. A general report on the Region as a whole is given in document SEA/VPH/18. A special objective in Nepal was to review the rabies control programme being assisted by WHO. There is little doubt that zoonoses and food-borne diseases constitute important public health as well as economic problems. The investigations to clarify the extent and nature of these problems and the activities to deal with them are still at an early stage. This is no doubt due largely to paucity of resources and trained workers. #RESOURCES #PUBLICHEALTH #WHO #VETERINARY
