Nepal Multiple Indicator Surveillance
Abstract:
Nepal Multiple Indicator Surveillance (NMIS) is being conducted to collect community based information for the monitoring the National Programme of Action for the Children and Development for the 1990s set in line with the World Summit for Children, 1990. This is the Sixth Cycle report on Service Delivery Survey: Health and Agriculture Services served 18,770 household and contacted with 108,899 people. It focuses particularly on the delivery of government health and agriculture services. This report provides basic data and analysis of indicators for effective national and local level planning especially in health and agriculture sectors of service delivery system. The field survey was carried out by Central Bureau of Statistics between October and November 1997. National Planning Commission Secretariat expresses its sincere appreciation to the members of NMIS Steering Committee, members of the Technical Committee for their valuable contributions and to Central Bureau of Statistics for conducting field work and analysis of findings.
