Press Briefing by UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs B. Lynn Pascoe (7 October 2010)
Abstract:
The developments in the last month represent encouraging progress after a year marked mostly by stagnation. The renewed effort by the Special Committee and the establishment of its Secretariat are important developments in this context. All of the political leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to move the peace process forward and to complete the integration and rehabilitation in a timely manner. Many told me that this can be done in the time remaining provided there is political will and readiness to compromise.
