Abstract:
NHRC enNewsletter is the sixth issue of volume 7 of NHRC E-Bulletin. The NHRC is Nepal’s National Human Rights Institution with constitutional mandate to work for the promotion and protection of human rights. This bulletin provides an update on the NHRC activities such as: 62nd International Human Rights Day Observed, NHRC Sub-Regional Office, Jumla Observes Int'l HR Day, Workshop on Policy Formulation for Survivors of Trafficking Held, Government Urged to Guarantee Human Rights, NHRC Recommendations upon Complaints in a Decade Disseminated, Interaction Programme with Dalit Women Held, Statement by the Chairperson Kedar Nath Upadhyay Delivered at the NHRC Programme on the Occasion of Int'l Human Rights Day10 December 2010, Lalitpur, Dialogue on Human Rights Friendly Constitution Held, Talk Programme on Youths’ Perspective on Human Rights and Discrimination Held, NHRC to Urge Interim Relief for Free Haliyas, Human Rights Situation in Western Region, Incidents of Human Rights Violation (Nov-Dec, 2010), Discussion on Radio Programme Sachetana Held, HR Friendly Words in Admit Card of TU Exams Recommended, Child Rights Protection Policies in Schools Recommended.
