UN Youth Retreat 2010/11 Report
Abstract:
The UNYAP is a part of the UNCT‟s commitment to the young people’s empowerment and rights, which was established in order to advise UNCT to design the strategic actions to address the adolescent and youth issues and to establish and open dialogue to bridge the gap between UNCT and young people. Since 2009, the annual retreat has been an integral program of UNYAP whereby UNYAP members and UN Focal Points come together to discuss on YAP‟s issues and plan for the way forward. Moreover, it’s a platform where the members can socialise with each other and strengthen their coordination. This year, the retreat was conducted on December 12 and 13, 2010 where YAP member and UN Focal Points came together, celebrated the achievements of the past year, discussed and decided on the way forward. Altogether 13 individuals from UNYAP, UN Focal Points, YPEER and AYON participated in the retreat. There were 7 members from UNYAP, 4 focal points from UN Agencies, 1 from YPEER and 1 from AYON. #UNYAP
