Abstract:
FAO’s Assistant Director-General for Asia and the Pacific region Ms Kundhavi Kadiresan visited FAO’s project sites in Pokara, Nepal from 20-21 April 2019. In Pokhra, she visited Rupa Lake Restoration and Fisheries Cooperative and Fisheries Research Station-FRS on 20 April 2019. An FAO TCP project called “Improving national carp seed production system in Nepal (TCP/NEP/3303)” was implemented Jan 2011 to March 2013. On 21 April 2019, she visited National Livestock Breeding Centre (NLBC). FAO has supported in cattle breeding through Community Livestock Development Project (CLDP) and support to establish Dairy milk training center and conduct dairy trainings. NLBC received full blood Boer and Saanen Bucks and Does through FAO TA/AFSP.
