Analytical Study of Basic Social Service in Nepal
Abstract:
The level of human development in Nepal is among the lowest in the world, despite improvement seen in Education, health and other social services over the years. There has been little development which is inequitable as is reflected in the gender, caste, ethnic and geographic disparities. The past studies have found that government spending on basic social services has improved over the years, but it's size is still small, social sector spending stood at just 30% of the total budget in the late 1990s. Far short of the recommended 40%, this calls for not only enhancing the size of social sector spending but also reorienting domestic resource and foreign aid in favor of basic social Service. #BasicSocialServiceinNepal #GeographicDisparities #HumanDevelopmentinNepal #DomesticResources #ForeignAid #Education #Health #GenderDisparities #CasteDisparities #EthinicDisparites
