pectations were compiled by having each participants write their ideas on a card and these were then posted and reviewed while introducing their agenda (Annex 1). Most of the expectations that came up had already been considered and addressed with the agenda. It was made clear that this could not be an in-depth training since time was very limited. Rather it was an opportunity to share experinces with the participants and introduce them to MA&D. If they felt it was useful, district level workshops would then need to be organized at a later date with the respective staff of each district. The expected outcome of the workshop was that NTFP with potential which are common to several districts would be identified, opportunities and constraints would be assessed and that strategies would be explored in order to support development of enterprises with these products.
