URL-http://apps.who.int/iris/ The purpose of the visit was partly to advise on a recording and reporting system to be applied in the national programmes for tuberculosis and leprosy control, and partly to assist in planning and conducting the survey mentioned in the plan of action for the project. Both these tasks were closely linked with the actual operational and administrative set-up of the tuberculosis and leprosy services, as well as with the more basic question of how the project could best promote these services in the national context.
