Nepal's Culture July 1962
JPG File Size: 6.89 MB | Download
The cultural achievement of the Nepalese people are displayed in the rich art and architecture which abound throughout the country. The culture reflects a mixture of the Buddhist Lamaism of the north and of the Hinduism of the south. Kathmandu alone contains some 350 Hindu temples – intricately carved and richly decorated.
Musicians play at the entrance of the Hindu temple of the Lord Shiva in the Village of Gokarna, ten miles from Kathmandu.
