Nepal's Culture July 1962

The cultural achievement of the Nepalese people are displayed in the rich art and architecture which abound throughout the country. The culture reflects a mixture of the Buddhist Lamaism of the north and of the Hinduism of the south. Kathmandu alone contains some 350 Hindu temples – intricately carved and richly decorated.
Nepalese musicians accompany Koili Devi (in white) as she sings folksongs.
