Following the establishment of the federal democratic republic after the
historic declaration by the Constituent Assembly, our country has arrived at a new era, from which the horizons of numerous new possibilities can be seen. There are currently new waves of enthusiasm, curiosity and energy in every sector and in every class of the society. Thanks to the sacrifice of the great martyrs and warriors of the revolution, we are now working towards molding our own futures ourselves with the self respect and pride of true citizens. At this time of epoch-making change, I would like to express my heart felt condolences to all the martyrs, known and unknown, who lost their lives during the People’s War, the Jana Andolan and the Madhes Andolan, which
took place in order to usher in political, economic and social transitions in the country. In addition, I would like to wish a speedy recovery to all of those who were injured, maimed or incapacitated during the people’s revolutions, and have since been living under difficult circumstances.
