PDF File Size: 2.1 MB | Download
This report sets out to examine the ways and means for providing
affordable, accessible and reliable energy services towards achieving the
Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and poverty reduction in Nepal.
The underlying premise of this study is that access to affordable and
sustainable sources of energy has strong links with poverty reduction.
This is particularly the case in terms of energy and its effects on
household income, health, education, gender and the environment. The
report also offers options for the country to overcome its energy sector
challenges.
