विभाजित विश्व : असमानताको युगमा प्रजनन् स्वास्थ्य र अधिकार

असमानतालाई तत्काल समाधान नगर्ने र अति विपन्न महिलालाई उनीहरूका आफ्ना जीवनबारे आफैंले निर्णय लिन सक्ने गरी सशक्तीकरण नगर्ने हो भने अस्थिरता र अशान्ति तथा विकासमा जोखिम सामाना गर्नु पर्न सक्ने संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघीय जनसंख्या कोष (यूएनएफपीए)ले १७ अक्टोबर २०१७ मा सार्वजनिक गरेको प्रतिवेदन ‘विश्व जनसंख्या स्थिति २०१७’ मा जनाएको छ।यौन तथा प्रजनन् स्वास्थ्य र अधिकारहरू लगायत असमानताका मूल्यहरूको प्रभाव सबैलाई पर्न सक्ने यूएनएफपीएको प्रतिवेदन ‘विभाजित विश्व : असमानताको युगमा प्रजनन् स्वास्थ र अधिकार’ मा उल्लेख छ ।अति विपन्न महिलामाझ परिवार नियोजनलगायत प्रजनन् स्वास्थ सेवाहरू पु¥याउन नसक्नुले अर्थतन्त्रलाई कमजोर पार्नुका साथै दिगो विकास लक्ष्यको गरिबी अन्त्य गर्ने पहिलो उद्देश्यको प्रगतितर्फ व्यवधान खडा गर्न सक्छ ।
आर्थिक असमानता अन्य असमानताहरूबाट प्रेरित हुन्छ र यसले पनि अरु असमानताहरूलाई प्रेरित गर्छ । यसमा महिला स्वास्थ्यलगायत पक्ष पर्छन् जहाँ केबल सुविधाप्राप्त थारैले मात्र आफ्नो प्रजनन् क्षमतामा नियन्त्रण राख्न सक्छन् र जसको परिणमस्वरूप उनीहरू पारिश्रमिक पाइने काममा लागेर आर्थिक शक्ति हासिल गर्न सक्छन् ।‘मुलुकहरूमा रहेको असमानता आज धनी र गरिवबीच मात्र सीमित छैन,’ यूएनएफपीएका कार्यकारी निर्देशक डा.नतालिया कनेम भन्नुहुन्छ,‘असमानता सक्ने र नसक्नेबीच पनि बढ्दो छ। परिवारको आकारबारे आफैंले निर्णय गर्न सक्ने माध्यमहरूको पहुँच नभएका विपन्न महिला वा अपर्याप्त प्रजनन् स्वास्थ्य सेवाका कारण कमजोर स्वास्थ्य स्थिति भएकाहरू नसक्नेहरूको जमातमा ज्यादा छन्।’अधिकांश विकासोन्मुख मुलुकहरूमा अति विपन्न महिलासंग परिवार नियोजनका विकल्पहरू अत्यन्तै न्यून छन्, प्रसवपूर्वको स्याहारमा नगण्य पहुँच छ र उनीहरू प्रायः चिकित्सक वा तालिमप्राप्त स्वास्थ्यकर्मीको सहयोगबिनै बच्चा जन्माउ“छन् ।
