Abstraction: November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Ending violence against women and girls is matter of human rights and gender equality. This is a United Nations Nepal video for 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence. In the video, prominent Nepali activists, artists and public figures speak out to urge us all to recognize violence in all its forms, and to take a stand against it.

0.16 sec :More than one in ten experience sexual violence,men and boys are also affecting by this.

0.26 sec :Shame,stigma and social consequences make it difficult.
0.32 sec :For survivors to report what had happened to them.
0.34 sec :No one should be pushed to report if they don't want to.
0.38 sec :But if they do,they have right to the best support,care and services.
0.44 sec :Violence is not only physical,it can be emotional,psychological,economic and sexual.
0.51 sec :Violence can be forcing women,men,girls,boys and third gender people to perpetuate practices that are harmful to them.Like child marriage or chaupadi.
1.02 sec :Violence can happen in home,at school,in the work place,in public places,in private space,on streets,on buses,in parks,at markets.
1.11 sec :Everyone can be confronted by violence whether you are women, girl,boy,men and third gender.
1.19 sec :It reduces the ability to participate in school,work place and public life.
1.23 sec :You can do somethings to help end violence and to support survivors.
1.29 sec :If you witness violence speak up,say somethings,help survivors of violence feel they are not alone.
