ELECTROAL SUPPORT PROJECT- PHASE II, NEPAL
|
UNDP's electroal assistance is geared towards establishing systems, process and policies within the ECN for sustainable capacity building. It is based on the assumption that short-term assistance to the ECN is not adequate to bring about the systematic and sustainable institutional and professional changes that are essential for conducting credible, inclusive and transparent elections in Nepal. If long-term on-site technical and advisory assistance is proved, it is possible to build in-house capacity within ECN that is required for conducting credible elections with full national ownership and reduced international assistance.
