नेपालमा आफ्नो कार्यकाल पूरा गरि प्रस्थान गर्न लाग्नुभएका संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघीय मानवअधिकार उच्चायुक्तको कार्यालय, नेपालका प्रमुख रिचार्ड बेनेटले आज प्रधानमंत्री माधवकुमार नेपालसंग बिदाई भेट गर्नुभयो। उहाका साथ उपप्रमुख ज्योति सान्घेरा पनि हुनुहुन्थ्यो।
रिचार्ड बेनेटले शान्ति प्रक्रिया र मानवअधिकारको स्थितिबीचको सम्बन्धबारे चर्चा गर्नुभयो।उहाले लैंगिक हिंशाविरुद्द लड्न प्रधानमन्त्री र उहाको कार्यालयले गरेको प्रयास तथा महिला, दलित, मधेशी, अपांगता भएका व्यक्तिहरु यौन तथा धार्मिक अल्पसंख्यकलगायतका सीमान्तीकृत समुदायहरुको प्रतिनिधित्व रहेको डर्बान समीक्षा सम्मेलनको अनुगमन समितिप्रतिको प्रधानमन्त्रीको ग्रहणशीलता प्रशंसा गर्नुभयो।उहाले भन्नुभयो,"कुनै पनि समाजमा त्यहाको सर्वाधिक सीमान्तीकृत समुदायहरुप्रति गरिएको व्यवहार त्यो समाजको मापक हो"
