संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघीय मानवअधिकार उच्चायुक्तको कार्यालय (उच्चायुक्तको कार्यालय )ले सरकार तथा माओबादी फौजबीच भएको द्वन्दको क्रममा नेपालको बर्दिया जिल्लामा शृंखलाबद्ध रुपमा भएको बेपत्ता पर्ने कार्य बारे आफ्ना अनुसन्धानसम्बन्धी प्रतिवेदन बिहीबार सार्वजनिक गर्यो। यस प्रतिवेदनले सुरक्षाफौज तथा नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी(माओबादी) दुवैबाट भएका बेपत्ता पार्ने कार्यको अभिलेख गरेको छ।
संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघीय मानवअधिकार उच्चायुक्त नवी पिल्लेले आफ्नो संगठनको प्रतिवेदनमा अभिलिखित १७० वटा घटनाहरुलगायत द्वन्दका क्रममा गरिएका सबै बलपूर्वक बेपत्ता पार्ने कार्यको अनुसन्धान गर्न जाचबुझ आयोग गठन गर्न नेपाल सरकारले कानुनको तयारी गरेको उल्लेख गर्नु भयो।
