"नेपालमा एक दशक लामो द्वन्दक अवधिमा गरिएका बलपूर्वक बेपत्ता पार्ने कार्यका मुद्दासमेत गम्भीर मानव अधिकार उल्लङ्घनक लागि जवाफदेहीता कायम गर्नुपर्ने जरुरि र वास्तविक आवश्यकता रहेको छ", राष्ट्रिय मानवअधिकार आयोग (आयोग) नेपाल र नेपालस्थित संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघीय मानवअधिकार कार्यालयद्वारा जारी गरिएको संयुक्त प्रेस वक्तव्यमा भनिएको छ।
अगस्ट ३० लै बेपत्ता पारिएकाहरुको अन्तरास्ट्रिय दिवसका रुपमा विश्वभरी स्मरण गरिन्छ।सशस्त्र द्वन्दको अवधिमा नेपालमा हजारौ मानिसहरु बेपत्ता भएका थिए।आयोगको पछिल्लो तथ्यांकअनुसार ८३५ जनालाई कहाँ राखिएको छ भन्ने कुरा अझै थाहा भएको छैन।तिनका परिवार र मित्रहरु अझै पनि तिनलाई के भयो भनेर जान्न पाईन्छ भन्ने आशाक साथ पर्खिरहेका छन् ।
