"नेपाल सरकार र राष्ट्रिय हलिया मुक्ति समाज महासंघ बीच वि. सं. २०६५ भदौमा भएको सम्झौताले हलियाहरु मुक्त भएको औपचारिक रुपमा घोषणा गरे तापनि मूर्त परिणाम हासिल हुन अझै बाकी छ। मस्यौदा हलिया निषेध विधेयक पारित भएको छैन र सरकारले सम्झौताअनुरुप उच्चस्तरीय हलिया मुक्ति तथा पुनस्थापना आयोग गठन गर्न र नेपालमा हलियासंबंधी सर्वेक्षणको परिणाम सार्वजनिक गर्न बाकी नै छ" , राष्ट्रिय मानव अधिकार आयोग, राष्ट्रिय दलित आयोग, रास्ट्रीय महिला आयोग र दुइवटा संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघीय नियोग, अन्तरास्ट्रिय श्रम संगठन र नेपालस्थित संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघीय मानवअधिकार कार्यालयद्वारा आज सार्वजनिक गरिएको प्रेस वक्तवयमा भनिएको छ।
"सम्झौतामा हस्ताक्ष्यर भएको तीन वर्षपछि, मुक्त हलियाहरुले वाचा गरिएको उद्दार तथा पुनस्तपना पुन बाकी नै छ र उनीहरुलाइ परिचयपत्र अझै जारी गरिएको छैन। परिणामस्वरूप, मुक्त हलियाहरुले खाना, वासस्थान तथा स्वास्थ सेवा लगायत आधारभूत आवस्यक्तामा पहुच पुन अझै पनि कठिनाई सामना गर्नु परेको छ र यसरी उनीहरु प्राय दयनीय अवस्थामा बस्न बाध्य श्रमिकका रुपमा काम जारी राख्न विवश तुल्याएको छ ", प्रेस वक्तवयमा अगाडी भनिएको छ ।
