The concert will engage people from different cultures and backgrounds to share
the beauty of jazz music, to promote dialogue among cultures. It will provide an enthusiastic platform for aspiring Nepalese musicians.On celebrating the Day, which cherishes new medium to bring people together, UNESCO encourages women and men across the world to celebrate the power of jazz to understand others, let them speak and listen with respect.Jazz means dialogue, reaching out to others, bringing everyone on board. It means respecting the human rights and dignity of every woman and man, no matter their background”, says Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director-General.
