After the April 25,015 earthquake, ECO-Nepal has been implementing humanitarian actions and interventions in various VDCs of Gorkha in assistance/partnership of Dan Church Aid (DCA). Nepal Earthquake Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience (3R) project is currently being implemented from May 2016.
WASH The Earthquake Emergency Response Program (EEP) implemented earlier had covered institutional WASH, HH toilet construction and renovation, and renovation of water supply schemes whereas, the current project has been focusing mainly in renovation of WSS and Hygiene promotion.ECO-Nepal on 1st December 2016 signed a contract with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) for the Gorkha WASH project which will be benefitted by approximately 1,800 HHs from 12 numbers of small & medium scale community water supply construction and renovation and 2000 individuals through hygiene promotion activities in Palungtar Municipality, Kerabari VDC, Hansapur VDC, and Ghyachowk VDC of Gorkha District (note: progress from those activities are not captured in this report).
