To-date, over 1.1 million flood affected people have benefited from humanitarian assistance.Nominations of the candidates in local elections in Province 2 took place on 6 September with elections to take place on 18 September. It is possible that these elections may hamper relief and recovery efforts. Light to moderate rain is forecast for the next 24 hours according to the Department of Hydrology and Meterology.
