Moderate to heavy rains have been forecast across Nepal for the coming days.
As of 16 August, 18,320 families are confirmed to have been displaced, and 75,000 families affected by the flooding. Government has provided ready to eat food to displaced people in Jhapa and the affected population in Sunsari, Saptari, Sarlahi, Dhanusha, Mahhotari, Bara, Rautahat, Dang, Banke, Bardiya and Kailali.
