The main purpose of this terminal evaluation was to assess the performance of
the project (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine its impacts (actual and potential) including their sustainability and to propose a set of recommendations in a view of ongoing and future activities.
This project is highly relevant as Nepal is party to the Stockholm Convention
and it holds a significant stockpile of PCBs and wastes (167 tons) identified during NIP development. The project is assisting Nepal to complying with the Stockholm Convention by building its capacity to soundly manage its stocks of PCBs and related wastes.
