Micro Enterprise Development Programme - MEDEP GON/MOI/UNDP

To institutionalise MEDEP model into MEDPA through a sustainable institutional structure, Government of Nepal has developed MEDPA five years strategic plan in partnership with UNDP. GoN has already approved this five years strategic plan under which MEDPA will be gradually expanded in all 75 districts
of Nepal by 2018 (replicating the MEDEP model). However, keeping in view that GoN capacity needs to be substantially built (centre to district levels) to in ternalise and institutionalise MEDEP model GoN
requested UNDP and donors to provide technical support for their capacity development. UNDP through
the financial support of Australian Government developed MEDEP phase IV document for the same
period with the main objective of technical capacity development of GoN and relevant stakeholders
through facilitating and advisory roles.
