Nepal Report on Human Development

In recent years, Nepal too has invested heavily in these sectors, particularly in education and health. Improving access to and quality of education and health services continues to be priority agenda items for the country. The coverage of social protection in Nepal is currently small.
However, there is an increasing recognition among policymakers that social protection schemes need to be expanded to cover a larger share of the population. A good understanding of the state of these sectors is therefore important for all engaged in human development activities in Nepal.
