Review Document for Mid Term Evaluation Team

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (MOICS) formerly under the then Ministry of Industry (MOI) had been implementing some projects with the financial support of the UNDP. One of the projects, the “Training for Rural Gainful Activities” (TRUGA) was implemented during the early nineties followed by the “Training for Rural Employment” (TRE) from 1994 to 1997. Both of these projects had their focus on the capacity building of both government staff and rural communities through skill development training. The
following recommendations and conclusions were derived following the completion of the TRE Project.
