Highlights:
1. To support the Government of Nepal in developing a long term DRR Action Plan building on the new National Strategy for Disaster Risk Management (approved October 2009).
2. To initiate a multi-stakeholder participatory process with the Government of Nepal and civil society organizations.
3. To identify short to medium term disaster risk reduction priorities that are both urgent and viable within the current institutional and policy arrangements in the country.
